We moved to the Cape in 2021. Both wine lovers, we set out to discover as many of its wine farms as we could — from familiar favourites to places we’d never heard of, across different regions and styles.

This is our shared notebook. No lengthy reviews: just the places we’ve visited, a short thought when we have one, and the occasional rating from one to five wine glasses. We hope it helps you find somewhere you’ll love, too.

Our early entries came from emails sent along the way. Their dates are the email dates and sometimes recall earlier visits. Return visits are kept; duplicate email copies are counted once.

Tasting-room hours come from the linked sources and show when they were checked. Seasonal hours are included only where published. Hours and holiday arrangements can change, so check with the farm before making a special trip.

The little estate portraits are AI-assisted illustrations based on real photographs. Each farm links to its reference source. Map pins identify estates or tasting venues, not necessarily their entrances.
